Breckenridge Building Energy Code Fall 2025 Workshops

The Town of Breckenridge, in partnership with High Country Conservation Center, is hosting a building energy workshop series intended for local architects, energy raters, builders, and trade contractors. Your RSVP is appreciated but not required – you can register here.


2025 Workshop Schedule


1. Designing & Building All-Electric Homes | Thursday, September 11 | 8:30 - 10:30 AM

Hopeful/Discovery Rooms, South Branch Library | 103 Harris St, BreckenridgeExperts from Resource Engineering Group will discuss important considerations for designing and building all-electric homes. Learn about the benefits of all electric building, key design considerations, and lessons learned from all-electric projects in Crested Butte and beyond.


2. Cold Climate Heat Pumps for Remodels | Thursday, October 2 | 8:30 - 10:30 AM

Hopeful/Discovery Rooms, South Branch Library | 103 Harris St, BreckenridgeHeat pump expert, Shawn LeMons, will present a deep-dive into installing heat pumps in existing homes. Topics covered will include educating clients about heat pumps, types of heat pumps, important considerations for system design, and incentives.


3. Reviewing Breckenridge's New Energy Codes | Thursday, November 6 | 8:30 - 10:30 AM

Hopeful/Discovery Rooms, South Branch Library | 103 Harris St, BreckenridgeBreckenridge's code consultant, Shaunna Mozingo, will review the newly adopted residential & commercial energy codes. Come prepared to ask all your questions about complying with the new codes!
