At least two, soon to be three, new carpool apps are seeking to make travel to Colorado ski resorts more economical and environmentally friendly. The cost share social platforms are designed to help car-less riders and passenger-less drivers connect and share costs on the way to the hill. Touted as opportunities to reduce vehicle miles traveled, the carpool apps like Treadshare, Caravan, and Ride Gondola are being promoted by the I-70 coalition and are given additional parking benefits at local ski areas. Once in town, a variety of mobility and transit options await the skier/snowboarder. No car, no problem.
If you're looking to head to Breckenridge this winter, consider hitching a ride up I-70 with like minded individuals and share the cost of the ride. You'll help reduce skier traffic and greenhouse gas emissions from passenger vehicles while also saving a little dough in the process. Share your testimony at firstname.lastname@example.org. We'd love to know about your experience.
