New Energy Code Adoption - 6/3 Stakeholder Meeting Recap

On Tuesday 6/3/2025, the Town of Breckenridge hosted a stakeholder meeting to discuss and get input regarding the planned adoption for new building energy codes.
The next stakeholder meeting is on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

There was a recap and update from the last meeting's discussion on 5/6. There was a brief discussion about heat pumps and new design temperatures. During the meeting there was discussion about any final amendments for residential new construction code. The group also discussed residential existing buildings. There was a final discussion on State Model Low Energy and Carbon Code Adoption with implementation plan. During this meeting, topics regarding commercial code were introduced for next meeting. The meeting concluded with providing an update on various other programs.
