On Thursday, October 2nd, Shawn LeMons with Point 6 LLC led a workshop at the Breckenridge library about Cold Climate Heat Pumps for Remodels. Shawn is a building science specialist with a career dedicated to advancing energy efficiency, durability, and occupant comfort in the built environment. His expertise spans energy modeling, HVAC design, diagnostic testing, and performance verification, with a core focus on Passive House methodologies and high-performance building standards. Shawn’s approach is rooted in systems thinking. He brings clarity to complex performance goals, helping architects, builders, and municipalities align design intent with practical solutions that reduce carbon, improve indoor air quality, and lower operating costs. He has supported projects across PHIUS, Zero Energy Ready, LEED, Energy Star, and off-grid platforms, providing both technical modeling and field training to ensure performance carries through to completion.
