Breckenridge Workforce Development Grant
The Breckenridge Workforce Development Grant provides training opportunities to individuals seeking to advanced their career in building electrification and energy efficiency. Eligible trainings in this field include renewable energy, beneficial electrification (heat pumps, electric vehicles, etc.), building science (BPI certification), RESNET HERS rater certification and more. The goal of this program is to add new skilled labor to the energy/construction sector and may include reimbursement for the cost of technical certifications or specialized equipment needed to perform this type of work.

Building industry scholarships may cover partial reimbursement of certifications, equipment, and travel to complete training in order to adhere to the updated codes. Equipment must have a fair market value of less than $5,000. Travel costs must be handled in accordance with the pertinent federal and state regulations which govern allowability and allocability. Follow these Steps:
Step 1: Fill out the program application. Email a copy of your W9 and proof of residency or local employment (Breckenridge business license) for the person or company designated to receive the rebate. (Email to: sustainablebreck@townofbreckneridge.com)
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must wait until you have received approval confirmation BEFORE you begin the workforce development training(s) and/or purchase equipment you wish to be compensated for.

Step 2: SustainableBreck will review your application to verify eligibility. If your application is approved, you will receive a letter to confirm your approved training plan or equipment purchase.
Step 3: Complete the courses and/or equipment purchases outlined in your approval letter.
Step 4: Once course(s) and/or equipment purchases are complete, send proof of training completion and all receipt(s) to sustainablebreck@townofbreckneridge.com.
Step 5: SustainableBreck will review final documentation submitted, and once verified, will issue the rebate to the individual or entity whose W9 was submitted with the original application.
