Now in its 3rd year, the Solarize Summit bulk purchase program is again offering community incentives and rebates for residents to go solar. Over 100 residents have participated in the program since its inception in 2019 with over 850 kW of solar PV installed across rooftops across Summit County.
Here's how it works.
Step 1: Sign up for a free solar assessment.
Step 2: Receive a customized proposal. Decide if solar is right for you.
Step 3: Sign a contract with the installer by June 30, 2021 to be eligible for community incentives.
Step 4: Install your system.
Step 5: Get a $1,500 rebate from your local government (limited quantity, first come first served)
Step 6: Tell your neighbors. The more people who sign up, the more you save.
Step 7: Get your solarize rebate from Active Energies Solar when the program ends.
Step 8: Celebrate solar power!

Is your home not eligible for rooftop solar?
There are other options to participate in solar powered electricity even if your roof doesn't allow for solar PV. Say you're a renter, or a homeowner in an HOA that owns your roof- you can still receive the benefits of solar electricity through community solar garden programs. Check out SunShare's Summit County program by April 30th and receive the first year of your solar garden subscription free and a gift card to a local ResourceWise certified business.
