Time of Use Electricity Rates Designed to Save Energy

Xcel Energy, Breckenridge's only electrical utility, will be rolling out advanced smart meter technology in late 2023/early 2024 that will allow for real time meter reads and time of use pricing. Time of use rates allow you to pay based on when and how much electricity you use (sound like another program???), leading to greater savings if you're energy savvy. Your online energy dashboard can provide you with in depth energy data so you can make smarter choices about when to run your appliances or charge an electric vehicle.
