Fix a Leak Week, March 14-20
The Town of Breckenridge is encouraging you to check your home for leaks this spring. Minor water leaks account for nearly 1 trillion gallons of wasted water each year. That’s equal to annual water use in nearly 11 million homes. Learn how to chase down leaks, or sign up for an indoor water check-up through the Tame the Tap program.
The snow that falls in the Colorado Rockies not only provides water to 5 million Coloradans, but also to people living in 18 other states.
In Breckenridge, we pride ourselves on being good stewards of our environment. That means protecting our waterways and the livelihoods that depend on it. Since 2018, the Town has been working towards goals outlined in the Breckenridge Water Efficiency Plan by focusing on indoor and outdoor water audits, adjusting rates to encourage efficiency, fixing leaks across the water distribution system, and improving service with the addition of the North Water Plant and repairs to the Goose Tarn Dam.
